Los Angeles, CA – September 16, 2014 – U.S. News and World Report “Top Tier” law firm Fenton Law Group, experiencing solid growth in its first year of operation, has opened a Northern California office to meet demand.
Claire Fenton, formerly with Physicians’ Advocates, in Berkeley, CA, will run Fenton Law Group’s Oakland office. Ms. Fenton has a diverse healthcare law practice that includes representation of healthcare entities and professionals. Her focus is on regulatory compliance; fraud and abuse; privacy issues; entity formation; corporate governance; business transactions; practice management; Stark and Anti-kickback; administrative proceedings; and contracting, licensure and certification.
“We are thrilled that Claire will be spearheading our growth in Northern California,” says Henry Fenton, Managing Partner of Fenton Law Group. “She is an extremely well-respected healthcare attorney, and is a perfect fit to lead our expansion,” he adds.
The Fenton name has become synonymous with healthcare law over the past four decades. From representing Louis Potvin in the California Supreme Court decision establishing a doctor’s right to due process of law (Potvin v. Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, 22 Cal.4th 1060, 2000) to currently representing Dr. Alwin Carl Lewis in challenging the Department of Justice’s use of the CURES database (Lewis v. Superior Court, 226 Cal. App 4th 933, 2014), the firm’s attorneys are at the forefront of healthcare law.
Fenton Law Group, with offices in Los Angeles and, now, Oakland, CA, represents physicians, medical groups and other healthcare providers in areas such as medical staff privileges, Medicare/Medi-Cal audits, and HMO and PPO Credentialing.
