Jim Curcio is an associate attorney with Fenton Law Group, LLP. Jim represents and advises healthcare providers on litigation and regulatory matters. He also represents healthcare professionals in administrative hearings and investigations conducted by the Medical Board, Board of Pharmacy, as well as internal investigations by hospitals, and other like organizations. He also represents providers in employment discrimination cases, and unlawful termination cases.
A Buffalo native and current resident of Wyoming, Jim received his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. At Georgetown Law, he was an Executive Articles Editor for the Georgetown University Journal on Fighting Poverty. He specialized in tax, securities law, and intellectual property. Jim also holds two Masters of Law degrees in dispute resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law Straus Institute and in tax law from the University of California, Irvine. Before attending law school, Jim received two undergraduate degrees with cum laude honors and with distinction in all subjects, one in engineering computer science and the other in history and linguistics, from Cornell University.
Jim has three licenses to practice law in California, Colorado, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Jim has served as a patent examiner, analyst, and attorney with respect to United States patent applications and Patent Cooperation Treaty patent applications for 11 years in the technical fields of software control systems, cryptography, software development systems, and Boeing aircraft technology. Jim has externed with the Honorable Alexander Williams, III, a former settlement judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court. He has also externed with the tax director of Arbonne Corporation, a domestic subsidiary of the French Corporation, the Rocher Groupe. The Rocher Groupe is famous for Yves Rocher women’s cosmetics product lines. Lastly, Jim has also litigated several successful employment litigation and tax cases.
Jim sings tenor voice, swims laps, takes photos, and enjoys the outdoors as hobbies.
